NFT Economics
The supply of SolChicks is limited to 10,000 and each SolChick will have a unique design. From this, each SolChick will also be categorised based on the rarity of their design features. The categories that your SolChick could fall into are as follows:
- Common (>60% chance). Just your everyday, average SolChick
- Uncommon (<40% chance). Not as common as the regular folk, but still easy to find in a crowd of SolChicks
- Rare (<15% chance). As common as really delicious chicken feed…
- Epic (<2% chance). Almost unheard of. You may see a SolPig fly before you see one of these guys
- Legendary (<0.1% chance). C’mon, are these actually real?
Starting from 10/09/21 at 5 pm (UTC), SolChicks can be minted in the SolChicks homeworld (https://solchicks.io/). It will cost 5 SOL to mint each SolChick, with a limitation of 1 SolChick per address. Your SolChicks metadata will be permanently stored on arweave.
Your SolChicks can then be traded on secondary markets, with each transaction incurring a 5% royalty fee (in addition to any fees charged by the secondary market). In addition to our in-house marketplace, you will be able to trade SolChick on secondary markets such as Solanart (https://solanart.io/), the leading secondary trading platform on the Solana blockchain, and Digital Eyes (https://digitaleyes.market/) once listing occurs.
Release Roadmap
- Initial SolChicks release (10 September 2021): The original 10,000 SolChicks are now available for minting in the SolChicks homeworld
- Release of SolChicks gaming mechanics (Q4 2021): Expected launch date of the SolChicks gaming platform. You can now evolve your SolChicks, engage in P2P battles and begin bonding with your SolChicks
- Release of the SolFox Challenge (Q1 2022): Challenge the Fox! Only selected players may undertake this challenge. Amazing prizes are up for grabs for those who are able to conquer and vanquish the SolFox.
- Release of CHICKS governance token (Q1 2022): The CHICKS token will be released on the Solana network. The CHICKS token will give the owner a share in the profits as well as staking and farming privileges.
- Release of SolChicks Community and Second Update of the SolChicks game (Q2 2022): Updated version of the SolChicks game, which will include new exploration worlds, a marketplace, farming, and occupations
- Release of Third Update of the SolChicks Game (Q3 2022): Additional features to be released including gangs, buildings and weapons
Earning From SolChicks
There are multiple ways that owners can earn from SolChicks:
- Quarterly leaderboard prizes: The top 3 SolChicks that have earned the most experience in PvP battles each quarter will be awarded cash prizes
- Breeding: Breeding SolChicks and selling them in the marketplace
- Rare Attributes: Collecting SolChicks with rare attributes and selling them in the marketplace
- Governance Tokens: Starting in Q1 2022, players can earn CHICKS governance tokens, which have governance rights and fee-sharing built into the tokenomics. CHICKS tokens can be earned by playing and are rewarded based on each player’s effort and skill
